Anyone who knows me knows I love chocolate and I love to bake. Of course, combining those two things is one of my favorite pass times. I bake anything and everything chocolate!
One of my favorite things is simple yet delicious. Chocolate chip cookies. There's nothing better then warm chocolatey goodness of a fresh baked cookie right out of the oven. I probably bake some sort of cookie about once a week. I've never meet a cookie I didn't like!
I want to share with you my favorite chocolate chip recipe. Let me know how yours turn out.
INGREDIANTS:
3 1/3 c all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 1/2 sticks of salted butter softened
1 c granulated sugar
1 1/3 c brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
In large bowl combine the first five dry ingredients and set aside.
In a large bowl cream butter and sugars until smooth and creamy.
Add in vanilla
Add in eggs - one at a time - mix on low.
Gradually add the dry ingredients that were set aside, mixing until well blended.
Stir in chocolate chips
Place dough in air-tight sealed container and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use a light baking sheet for best results. Dark sheets may need less time, or have a crisper bottom.
Roll dough into balls - 1 1/2 tbsp. to 2 tbsp.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown at the edges.
Remove from oven and allow to cool. Remove from pan and place on wire baking rack.
Yields approx. 3 dozen cookies
Happy Baking!
