🌈Title: In the Shadow of the Black Moon

    ✍️Author: Melissa Roos

📚Review: In the Shadow of the Black Moon is a fantastic mix of thriller, mystery, and romance with a tinge of darkness to the plot that all of us mystery-loving readers dig. Bree runs off to the Coast looking for a change and a way to stop looking over her past and losses and start something anew. The change in environment does help her, the sun cheers her up, and the beach is soothing. She meets someone too and starts settling in. But you don't always easily get what you want. Someone is lurking in the shadows, waiting and calculating their move.

Bree and Ryker's love story is an unusual one. It is encircled with suspense and drama on every page. The book is fast-paced and keeps your intrigue on with twists and turns, presenting themselves now and then. The plot is entertaining for its genre, and the characters are well sketched and relatable many a time. Bree is a brilliant character, and we see her grow and change as she goes through everything happening in her life. You know a book is good when you start caring about the characters and their fate anxiously as if it's your own life at stake here.

I liked the author's atmospheric writing style where she really just paints a whole picture for you to look at like a scene. I loved the vivid descriptions. And the way the scenic beauty of the coast is represented in the book was remarkable. The book makes for a good binge-read with the short and exciting chapters that wouldn't let you want to put it down. Despite the mysteries brimming, the author still managed to keep this a light read. I read praises about the author's previously written book, and I would love to read more of such contemporary romance thrillers from the author!
